| I
am a mother of three with no formal education in the arts. It was the
prodding and insistence of my children who enthusiastically pushed me to
take my works more seriously. After working privately for quite a while,
I finally decided to take some tentative steps at showing. My children
had gotten me to work with pastels and then with acrylics. But it was
when a friend brought over a sheet of Plexiglas that I felt I had really
found my medium. Acrylics on glass inspires me; ideas constantly come to my
inner vision. I want mostly to celebrate life in; all its wonder and
amazement.

| For me each painting is a story, I want to bring that story to life. I love vivid, striking, dramatic, different, unique, unusual, and because I loved hats, I was always considered a little flamboyant and just a little of that may show in my work. I will be happy if my work is described using any of those terms. I hope you like and see something special in my work. |
